The Crandall family is under the direction of MESSAGE OF LIFE MINISTRIES, which is under the spiritual supervision of Western Hills Christian Church in Lawton, OK. The Crandall's work in cooperation with Team Expansion in Guayaquil, Ecuador to plant new churches according to the Ecuador Team’s written objectives and plan.

A. Staying the course with the discipleship ministry which is the base for the believers and leaders at all levels.
B. Continue administrating and teaching in the Intensive Leadership Training program.
C. Mentor the leadership in the four congregations using the “Natural Church Development” paradigm as a framework for the leaders to discern God’s direction for their churches.
D. Provide special training seminars and series for the believers in needed areas of Christian living.
E. Seek out and begin to develop people to eventually replace me in teaching in the Intensive Leadership Training program and the administration of LICRE.
1. To encourage the leader in the four congregations to mature in areas of leadership and vision.
2. To mentor the leaders of the discipleship programs for the congregations as we phase them in and us out of this part of the ministry.
3. To continue the Intensive Training program for the church leaders.
4. To serve the team fulfilling responsibilities as they are decided upon.
5. To lead LICRE (Las Iglesias Cristianas en el Ecuador) in its legal function and direction for the benefit of the churches as president of the legal entity.
6. To organize and/or lead special seminars and activities for the congregations.
7. To organize visiting works groups.
8. Furlough the last three to four months in 2008.churches
1. To encourage the leaders in the four congregations to mature in areas of leadership and vision.
A. Mentoring the Pastoral Ministries as they learn to pastor. This will be done by:
1. Attending their meetings to offer suggestions and training.
2. Meeting individually with the leaders to encourage and counsel as needed.
B. Attending the monthly ministry coordinators meetings. Depending on the level of leadership developed, these meetings may be lead by an Ecuadorian or by me.
C. Training and guiding the ministry coordinators.
1. Guiding the ministry coordinators in developing and continuing the “Natural Church Development” cycle.
2. Holding a yearly planning retreat for the coordinators to set objectives and goals.
2. To mentor the leaders of the discipleship programs for the congregations as we phase them in and us out of this part of the ministry.
3. To administrate and teach in the Intensive Training program for church leaders.
A. Teaching the different modules:
- Module 1 (Rules of Interpretation and Methods of Bible Study) started in January 2008
- Module 4 (Expository Preaching) started in January 2008
- Module 2 (Old Testament Introduction) starting in April 2008
- Module 3 or 6 depending on what my teammate teaches and which module is most needed.
B. Meeting for a time of personal mentoring with each student from Samanes, Orquideas, La Fuente and Vergeles during each module.
C. Maintaining the students’ records and the communication with the office in Quito that is in charge of this program in Ecuador along with other administrative needs.
4. To serve the team fulfilling responsibilities as they are decided upon.
A. Fulfilling the responsibility of being the Team’s representative for SMASH. This amounts to being the liaison for the team in automobile coverage payments, claims and the annual meeting in January.
B. Maintaining the team’s video-DVD library.
C. Karleen handling the mail from the courier and the related accounting.
D. Managing and accounting for the common team fund with monthly reports with the help of our forwarding agent, Eugene Stipe.
E. Seeking to recruit new team missionary team members since the Hooks have left and the Irwins are leaving at the end of this year for Spain. I am planning to go to the National Missionary Convention this year in hopes of making contacts with new missionary recruits.
5. To lead LICRE (Las Iglesias Cristianas en el Ecuador) in its legal function and direction for the benefit of the churches as president of the legal entity.
A. Orientating the Advisory Commission as they for the first time are mentoring the Vergeles congregation in developing it as a new congregation with LICRE.
B. Leading its annual meeting in February and other seminars and joint worship services (see #6).
C. Calling meetings as needed of the executive committee.
D. Fulfilling the other functions as president of LICRE.
6. To organize and/or lead special seminars and activities for the congregations.
A. Continuing to give orientation to the churches about the “Natural Church Development” and work with other church leaders to organize a conference for ministers and leaders on a city-wide level in October.
B. Organizing the joint worship service for the LICRE churches on Good Friday. Karleen does this very well each year.
C. Organizing a seminar in September with our teammate for the churches on who we are and what we believe as a church movement.
D. Leading prayer retreats in November and January.
7. To organize visiting works groups.
A. A work group from Western Hills Christian Church the first part of July
B. A youth work group from Hillside Christian Church the last part of July
8. Furlough – This will be from September to November or December as decided in the Directors’ meeting in order to do a face to face meeting with them in September and to participate in the National Missionary Convention. The rest of the time will be visiting existing supporting churches and a few new ones.
